Because when I read any business news, my brain just goes to pilot mode and I just read without grasping much and I feel like I don't retain much information.
How to do that?
Also for CR, I do feel like I need more practice.

you need to sit through and be curious about whatever you are reading - once you go Auto pilot mode and you become aware you are on a cruise control. stop right there hold the steering and bring yourself back. start reading backwards making connections and checking contrast markers. Is the argument shifting or not, is the author on the same tone or is there a debate going on, if yes what evidences - what’s the author view on those evidences and what does he/she finally concludes with. I mean there are tons of questions you need to check as per your own mental capacity. Sitting and reading 500 words daily take time but once you develop some curiousity, you ll see the magic happening.
