I always think I have an unconventional profile and then I come across someone really unconventional. Well, i'll get to the knitty gritty...

Here is where I guess I have the unusual profile (or maybe not). I was at a college in London studying Law with a year abroad (4 year degree). In my third year, my father was diagnosed with Leukemia and I had to drop out to return home and take care of the family. In the process, I gave up a job on wall st (offered a job on condition of graduating) to do so but I had no other choice. It was because of that diagnosis that I started a non-profit. I then managed to transfer (transfer not common in UK)/get into a to a college that was much closer to home which allowed me to travel. I switched my concentration to business and management hence I graduated @ 25/26
Interests: social entrepreneurship, finance (buyouts of high growth comps), music industry
^ I know I have a weird set of interests. I liked my job and get along with senior management. I have this non-finance side which does things entrepreneurial and socially-concious related. I help aspiring singers and producers get their material to music labels and hence I'm immersed in that.
Recommendations: one Wharton MBA alum and another Harvard MBA alum
I'm not too hell bent on HSW but would fancy my chances anyway.
I realise my age is a bit of an issue but would adcoms understand the fact that I I spent the better part of 2 years at home due to father's illness?
