What is this creative essay- guys??

I think they were referring to the "Personal expression" essay.

just curious, what is the protocol for thanking someone for writing a recommendation for you?

is a thank you note sufficient, or is a bottle of wine, gift certificate, etc more appropriate?

Db count as of now is 52. My name appeared in the DB a week after I paid the enrollment deposit. Good luck to everyone waiting.

I think it is approx. 260

Since the count now shows 52, the Adcom may have sent 100+ notifications by now ...

Which means I am not in their top 100 candidate list .. :(

I am at a point where I don't care whether I get in or not. :x

What really irritates me is that NYU talks about a rolling admission but I haven't seen any indication what happened to my app after submitting this in mid july. I could have waited till the deadline and it would not have sucked as much...

yep, same thing goes for posts from years past. and since i'll be most likely reapplying next semester, i'm gonna wait till the last day. it's just crazy that people who've applied after deadline has passed have gotten in and those who've applied weeks, if not months, prior to have not heard anything.

Here are my two cents on this:

As per NYU,it would be a rolling process- as I don't think Adcom is assuming that a majority of applicants are in touch thru so called "gmatclub" forum.
Even when ioiio got thru (He submitted in the last week of September)-Adcom did not know that other candidates would come to know about this.

So just relax and wait for any notification,and I'm sure whatever notification comes to you guys,it would be a good one as we have lots of seats remaining.I know waiting hurts but thats what it is.We all are in the same big ship......

I just received notice that I'm accepted to Washington Square Weeknights...my hands are literally shaking while typing this. =)

It's been awfully quiet on the Stern forum lately. I take it there hasn't been any news, good or bad, to report?

Strange since most weeks, Tuesdays/Wednesdays seemed to be the days that admit notices tended to go out.

Anybody have any thoughts?
