You do have a good profile, Milasha. If you could re-take GMAT and score around 680 that would make you a solid candidate.

On the other hand, if you made a compelling case for yourself in the essays, the adcom may actually overlook your GMAT score.

The adcom will definitely want to see how you have improved, strenghtened your application as compared tot he first time you applied.

DB doesn't seem to get updated very often. Still at 25.

as for the waitlist... is there any difference/preference given as to how early you got put on it? i think i was put on it pretty early so i still have a sliver of hope but who knows.

There seems to be a long delay. I sent my deposit on Monday, still my name doesn't show up in the database.

How do you guys count the names in the database?

1...2...3... or some other way???

thanks for support. FOr now i am glued to the checking status screen and do hope adcom will not look purely at numbers but also consider personality, creativity and goals.

I guess no updates on weekends.

Ioiio - I paste the names in Excel and do a count using Excel from there.

Hi,

am new to this forum, but have read through the whole thread and empathize with the anxiety! I haven't heard back from Langone either. Just one question:

- I called NYU to check if they had received my application seperately, as I had mailed in the "creative" portion of my application, and wanted to make sure it was a part of my application package when they review it. Over the phone they said that status is all available online. I am not quite sure where to look -- The application status page doesn't really have much of a status in it; just has my name, address, and phone number on it.

To anyone else who mailed in the "creative" portion of their essay, any idea on how to make sure that it is inlcuded in the package when they review the application? (I have made a mention of it in the 3rd essay i submitted online, but guess am just being paranoid at this point!)

Any response is much appreciated. Thanks,

Hi

My status changed saying that my application was incomplete because they did not receive my creative essay. However I called them and described my essay and they were able to locate it. They were very prompt. I would not worry about it unless you hear from them that they did not receive it or your creative essay was in some form which will be easy to miss.
