Its seems that some of you have already been interviewed, and sadly some have been denied admission. Can you please give some tips on how to tackle the interview questions and what mistakes not to make during interview(Which you might have committed )
I'm still little puzzled on how to ans the question " Why Olin". Can anyone provide a suitable answer that is Olin specific.
Thanks

For my response to "Why Olin?" I just talked mainly about the academics for half of my answer and talked about culture and location for the other half. I talked about how Wash U is really close to Forest Park (which is humongous) and Delmar Loop (which has a great amount of restaurants and "young people" places) so the location is great. I talked about the small class sizes (In undergrad I had some classes with 100 or more students in them so being in a smaller class is very appealing to me) and collaborative culture. The most important thing I think I talked about was how Olin's classes and professors would help me achieve my career goals. For example, if I wanted to go into marketing I would talk about how learning consumer behavior from Dr. Joseph Goodman will lead me to, I don't know, make a gazillion dollars and I would talk about how taking a specific marketing course at Olin would help me learn a skill I need. The more specific, the better because I feel that showing that you did your homework will always get you brownie points. That's just my advice.

Hi GREnade When you were interviewed and when you received your acceptance? I was interviewed on 1st Oct. Still waiting to hear anything.
Thanks for the tips buddy. Will try to implement few, in case I get a chance to..
@ avinashdundoo I too am waiting for there reply. I applied on 29th Sept, and my status still reads "in review with admission committee". But I'm getting a feeling that it might be too late now to hope for anything, given that people who submitted their applications on 27th have already been interviewed.

Hi, I submitted the application on October 1. I haven't heard anything from them as yet. Has anyone who submitted around the deadline received the interview invite as yet?
I submitted my application on the 26th of September and still haven't heard anything yet. Still "in review with admissions committee" or whatever verbiage they use. I guess no news is good news...?

I wish I could have said yes.. The people who have been interviewed have mentioned that their status is still " in review". So that means that the college isn't updating the status as yet, and just skipping the profiles they don't like..
I applied end of sept, interviewed early oct, and got accepted after 1 week
