Awesome!

Drop me a line when you get that score. And for volunteering, the toughest thing is always to find the time. But that's cause you can't find it, you need to make it! :) If you are really at a loss, think of some big organisation (Amnesty Intl, Red Cross, Doctors without borders, greenpeace, whatever) and think about where you can be most helpful and what you can contribute and give them a call. It may not be as hard as you think!

Hi Jon,

Just got my unofficial score today:
720; IR8, Q49; V41
All in all, I'm happy with it although I believe that I could raise my quantitative score and the same section scores resulted in 730-740 for many others on this forum.

I've got into contact with a voluntary group, which I plan to join in January as well :-)

Would you say that the score changes anything about your initial evaluation, i.e., chances with other Top10 US-schools such as Chicago, Kellogg, and Sloan?

Oh yeah baby!!!!!
:)

Well I can't say that you aren't doing what you gotta do to get in. That's for sure. And with your GMAT I think you can have a few tough schools on your list like the ones you listed. I think if you apply to Kellogg, Chicago, Sloan, INSEAD, plus 2-3 more in the top 20 (but out of the Top 10) that would be pretty much a sweet strategy for you. Becuase you have a few excellent Top schools, and are covering yourself, but having some more excellent schools, that have awe bit less prestige, but still can get you where you want to go.

So first thing you gotta do: pat yourself on the back for a job well done so far.

And second: Come June, get started on those essays.

And iiiiiiiif you should find the time, think about taking a nice visit to some schools during the spring semester.

Best,
JF
