Hi and congrats on your admits! Fantastic job on your Doc degree too! You are an inspiration! That's solid commitment! And congrats on your wife's new endeavor and expansion of her business! It will be awesome to have a project you can apply what you learn immediately. Not sure if you are quitting your med job and career but doing 2 things (job and school) will be hard. Doing 3 things (job, school, and help her run business) will be impossible. You may be better off hiring someone at the moment and doing your MBA OR skipping and waiting a bit on the MBA and helping her with the business. Are you going to use the MBA for a med career or for her business? I am not sure I caught that....
If for Med Career, John Hopkins is mostly unknown in the business world but it is a HUGE name in the Medical space and that is likely to attract attention as well as help to network with the students there but keep in mind that John Hopkins MBA is not John Hopkins Med School. Esp the Online program but at the same time that may be enough.... esp if you do not have a big brand on your Med School resume. This may not play out to be a strong card to play in business but definitely has its place in the Med World so I think I would be leaning towards it as well.
P.S. Keep in mind that the Online MBA concept is largely perceived as a diploma printing station regardless of how rigorous the program may be. The Med students may give you a cold shoulder but it really depends on the folks and how competitive med industry is - I never interfaced with that.
