Hello. I have a few questions about admissions to online MBA programs that I am hoping to get a few opinions about.
I am interested in applying for an online or low residency type MBA program such as IE Business School, Warwick, Thunderbird, Imperial...
I am in my late 30s and have a low GPA of 2.7 from my undergraduate work and degree at a small liberal arts college in the U.S. almost 20 years ago. However, I also have a Master's Degree in a social science with a 4.0 GPA from an Ivy League School. I have also taken several other for credit classes as a non-degree and received A's in them. Will these grades post undergrad have any positive impact on my low undergrad GPA?
Since that time, I have owned a successful import business and worked in both the U.S. and Asia. I would specifically like to pursue the MBA to gain knowledge and skills that I feel I may be lacking from basically self-teaching myself how to run and operate my business for the past 10 years.
In your opinion, how will my 2.7 undergraduate GPA impact my application? I am preparing to take the GMAT. If I make an average score of approximately 600 on the GMAT, what will my chances be of getting into one of the type of online or global MBA programs mentioned above?

In short, your GPA won't really matter since it was so long ago. For the kinds of schools you're targeting, they're going to look at the GMAT anyway as the main thing, and not your GPA.
As for the GMAT, if it's near the average +/- 20 points you should be able to get in (I can't recall what the averages are for the schools you listed - you should be able to find it out on their respective websites).
In short, your GPA won't really matter since it was so long ago. For the kinds of schools you're targeting, they're going to look at the GMAT anyway as the main thing, and not your GPA.
