1. In my humble opinion, no online experience will be the same as in-class programs. However, the MBA@UNC program is pretty unique in that the same FT faculty teaches the classes, which are all synchronous 2-3 times a week. I attended one of the online classes and found it to be very interactive. You see all of the cohorts and the faculty on one side of your monitor, while you see the learning materials on the other. They also have "breakout rooms" set up for the teams to conduct live meetings and discussions for projects during and after class hours. The program also has 4 global immersions per year (2 is required for the program) where you obviously interact in person with your cohorts.
2. I'm using my GI Bill to cover my tuition, so I defer to other members for feedback on scholarships at KF.
3. I assume this question refers to the strength of an online degree vs traditional MBA as seen by employers. This depends on a lot of things, but here's my take. Most top schools, including KF, do not caveat their MBA degrees with "online" or "traditional". It's the same degree conferred to FT students. UNC, however, does distuinguish certificates received from its global partner schools when completing the Global EMBA (OneMBA) program, which I recently chose to attend. In this case, prospective employers will know that I was not a FT traditional MBA student when they see my degree. This may not matter much when looking for jobs that don't require travel oustide the U.S., but it expands my options when looking for global opportunities. I'm a glass-half-full kinda guy and I will always find a way to make something more positive to make it work for me, so I don't want to paint a rosier picture than it really is for your situation. I'm sure there are plenty others who have opinions from the other side of the fence. Here's a link that may be of interest to you:
