Hi, i Have 6 years of IT experience in development. I have 2 years of justifiable gaps in my career history. How much score will i need to.get into IIMA/B/C/I or.isb.

IR 1 will hurt your chances, no doubt. the question is, can you score another 750 with IR 5? if not, then don’t take the exam again, and simply explain it... if you think you can retake it, and score 750 or more, then retake it

The GMAT is just one factor... the gaps in your employment dont look good, but as you said, if they are "justifiable", then it is ok...
700+ would be my guess, but I dont know anything about you...
the higher the better!

Hi Guys, I need a profile evaluation rn do you think for a female from an unconventional background like design having a terrible gpa of 5/10 (I got a third class degree) with a gmat score of 690 (improving it further to get up to 700) will I be able to get into a top college like hec or ESSEC?

hi, the short answer is YES!
We have worked with candidates that worked in the design industry (we have about 4 like this every year) and with GMATs around 700 got into IESE, ESADE, HEC, and even one of them (700!) got into LBS.
SO, it is all doable!!!

The long answer is - it depends on your profile, essays, actual final GMAT score etc.

SO, I suggest you invest a bit more on the GMAT, and then send your CV, GMAT score and slip, the school wish list and any additional information to ShimriW@ARINGO.com and we can take it from there

1-Y of experience is NOT a problem if you are applying to masters that DON’T require a minimum of 2-3 years of experience
you can and should apply to programs like Master in Management... which look for candidates with 0-2 years of experience...

MBAs typically look for a MINIMUM of 2-3 years of professional, post-university experience

Big “famous in everything” universities
~60%-70% of the students are Americans
Typically, 2Y MBAs

EU Schools :
Small, tend to teach mainly MBAs
90% foreigners
1Y-1.5Y MBAs (quicker ROI)

The Ultimate Decision: Location
“Similar” opportunities.
Where do you want to live throughout university and post MBA (most US post-MBAs work in the US, most European post-MBAs work in Europe)?

Choosing between schools is always tough...
The Three most important considerations:
1. Where will your career aspirations be best served?
2. Where would you like to live
3. School Ranking

And then:
School’s specialties
Recruiters
Specific courses of study
School’s culture
Teaching methods
Class size

(BUT, just between us, my personal view is - shoot for the highest possible, but keep in mind, that most top schools teach the same. and most employers recruit from all the top schools, so the key difference between two schools ranked the same will be - location location location!

the minimum is 2-years at the time of joining, but the schools’ averages tend to be 4-6 years of employment... (= it is rare to accept someone with "just" two years. that someone would have to be super imporessive)
