What does your transcript says? The one you got at graduation from University? What is your overall GPA on that thing?

Usually, in GPA calculation, you would include all courses/classes that have been taken towards the degree, so for a 4-year degree it would be the community college + university.

I have a similar question...

I spent two years in Engineering - but decided to switch degrees and institutions and eventually graduate with a Commerce degree.

Very little of my first two years applied to my Commerce degree (and it was obviously at a different institution) - how should I calculate my GPA? Would I only count the courses that applied to my eventual degree?

Maybe I should specify:

- School #1: 17 courses in Engineering
- School #2: 1 course in Open Studies
- School #3 - 7 courses in Open Studies
- School #4 - 22 courses in the Faculty of Business/Commerce

I had to go to several schools to apply as a mid-year business student/receive the pre-requisites. I had the most recent 40 courses apply to my degree. So would I only use those 40 courses towards my GPA?

Stephy,

I would go with the cumulative GPA which would be a combination of both schools. Remember they will have your transcripts so if they want to dive into the specifics of your classes and courses they will.
