Some additional info - for me, the link and the number were provided not by Charlene, but by the adcom manager who had been supervising my application (in my case, it was Joanne, but in general, it's the girl/guy who sent you an interview invitation and the admit email). So perhaps you could write to her/him as well.

Thanks greenoak! I sent an email yesterday to my adcom manager, so hopefully I'll hear back soon...

Hi Devil. I don't quite understand what 'security issue' you mean - but if you aren't getting replies for such a long period, then there's indeed something wrong: a)with your email account b)with your addressee - perhaps he's ill/on vacation/was promoted  or perhaps you asked him a question that is outside his competence or beyond his job responsibilities.
In any case, mailing to somebody else (to Charlene, for example) and from an alternative account may help.
As for my experience - I asked only one question so far, and got the reply the same business day. I'll probably write to them next week again on another issue, and let you know how fast I'll hear from them.

It's been varied for me -- I've gotten responses in less than two hours or sometimes after a few days. Generally, it's been the next business day (except for this last query about tracking my package).

by security i meant financial guarentee. i usues to get answetrs the same business day. but of late, Said has become incommunicado. even if the query is outside their domain , they can guide me to the correct person. Charlene is sick and one gets an auto generated reply if one mails to her. any development on extending the date of financila guarentee?

Just got an email from Oxford saying the following:-

"I am delighted to inform you that we have received your application and all supporting documentation for the Stage Two deadline (16th January 2009). Your application is now complete and will be passed to the MBA Director and MBA Admissions Committee for consideration in due course. "

The "delighted" bit made my heart skip a beat or two before I realized it wasn't an interview invite.

Just got to hold on for a bit longer.

I got this email a couple of days ago and it's indeed a heart warmer.

Did the Oxford admits reply to this?

I didn't reply to that one -- just the subsequent emails. Good luck buff and sumidi!

Same as Prashok: I didn't reply to the 'application complete' note, neither for Said nor for Judge. I've answered only to the interview invitation email.

The day after submitting (jan 16) i got an email saying I need to turn in some missing information and as soon as I emailed the missing information - I recd this same email. I remember thinking wow they are completely on top of stuff then.. guess it was just my app that was at the top of the pile hence the quick response. Luckily, all this happened on Jan 16, I would have hated to miss the deadline because I didn't turn in a letter asking for a TOEFL waiver.

only four - five days more and with a little luck it will be time to plan a trip to england (or so I hope).

Hi,

I plan to attend the Open Day session at Oxford in a couple weeks, and I was wondering if there is a dress code at these events. I'm flying in from overseas, so it'll affect my travel plan quite a bit.
If you could give me any insight. I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

Hi amsf,

Most people that were visiting were in "business casual" attire. I.e dress pants (i believe they call these "slacks" in the USA), and business shirt.

hope you have fun in Oxford.

My interview notice was sent around 7:30 am US/Pacific time, so pretty much at the end of the day GMT on the Friday of the interview notification date.
