So,

Somebody on BW forums already recieved an invite for Judge R2......damn he/she must have been an amazingly strong candidate considering he/she recived his/her invite almost 12 days before the cutoff date.

If some people receive their invitations later, their apps are not necessary weaker. Perhaps they just appeared to be not on the top of the pile. Judge usually releases their invites gradually, as the adcom reads the apps. It seems that this round they expected a large number of applications (see how they arranged the interview events) - and if it's true, the invites may have just begun.
So, good luck - both to R2 applicants and to R1/R1.5 interview waitlisters :)

I agree with greenoak. For me they sent an email last friday asking for an application for waiver of TOFEL score. Yesterday I got the reply that they accepted the waiver application and today is interview result. Definitely they cannot review and respond on my application in one day.
There can be many reasons why an interview call for some be later than others apart from strength of application.

Hi Abhay,

It often happens that the decision on interview is taken prior to the receipt of waiver application, but confirmation to the candidate on interview, for administrative reasons, is subject to the receipt of waiver application.

I hope that the interview decision date hasn't been moved to the next week - although several people mentioned this as a possibility.

abhay - hang in there. They are still sending out invitations.

I checked this page as soon as i got into work and saw no email from oxford and thought oh **** i got a ding as others had got invites and then 30 seconds later i got an invitation (2 minutes back from now).

just hang on for another hour or so and see how it goes.

The decisions will be released in a couple of hours as the Admission Committee are still reviewing the last of the applications as we speak.

Have some BEER and movie, it will be much more convinient for your stomach than a BEAR :-D

so any of you planning on making the trip to Ox for the interview. I was thinking early to mid-march. I remember reading that all potential applicants are encouraged to visit and I havent yet so I guess I better spend the money and make the trip.

Movie and beer worked for me ... got interview email from them ...
Not next battle begins .....
I am in singapore ... going to england will expensive .. any disadvantage of opting for phone inter view ....

just got home from a day out of office with no access to email and i was sent an invite at 1.54pm. GMT

Now the part of MBA applications that I have never experienced - the interview!
