So,
Somebody on BW forums already recieved an invite for Judge R2......damn he/she must have been an amazingly strong candidate considering he/she recived his/her invite almost 12 days before the cutoff date.

If some people receive their invitations later, their apps are not necessary weaker. Perhaps they just appeared to be not on the top of the pile. Judge usually releases their invites gradually, as the adcom reads the apps. It seems that this round they expected a large number of applications (see how they arranged the interview events) - and if it's true, the invites may have just begun.
So, good luck - both to R2 applicants and to R1/R1.5 interview waitlisters
