Got the email this morning! Accepted into Said Business School, Class of 2013! Need to evaluate all my options now.

Good luck to all those applying. My advice: Make sure you know what you want to do post-MBA. With a 1 year program, they really place a lot of emphasis on making sure you're someone who will leverage the 1 year to achieve his/her career goal.

Hi all, congrats to all those who got in.

I got my acceptance email @ 3:45 am Pacific... typed up a message but i didn't send it for some reason. I passed out right after.

For those who received a ding, I was there earlier this year, don't worry and just remember that to get this far you were an excellent candidate but sometimes its about the right person at the right time and a combination of freak luck. Whether you chose to reapply to Oxford or another school, keep it in mind that SBS is selective about who they interview and you must have been a great applicant to have been considered. Good luck!

Congrats to all those who got in! I'd be happy to chat with admits about the college selection process as I had to do it myself. That seems to be the most daunting process for most people.

Thanks, enkie,

In fact, just for the benefit of all R2 admits and R3 hopefuls, why don't you start talking about the process here.

Hello everyone,

i received an admit for said two days back. can anyone provide insight on the current immigration situation? from my research, i understand that it is getting increasingly difficult for non uk citizens to get jobs owing to visa regulations (tier 2 vs tier 1).

also, it would be great if a current student/alumnus shares his/her thoughts on the employability of said graduates in management consulting with the top tier firms? Specifically, how does the oxford brand translate to getting a job? I know that Said is spectacular for social entrepreneurship. does the same hold true for management consulting when competing with graduates of other European schools given the current situation?

thanks

So, in the email is said to wait for long in details and then package to arrive in the mail.... From those admitted, any idea what's included? Should we be preparing anything now?

1st round accepted student joining Oxford MBA class of 2012-13. I'm not allowed to post URLs here yet since I haven't posted 5 times but google for 'top mba uk visa reforms little impact' and the first link from topmba highlights the little to no affect that changes in UK visa policy have on non-EU MBA students. Having gone through H1b visa process myself in the US (currently living and working in Silicon Valley) - I don't see the visa process/situation any better or worse than in the US.

Folks,

Any idea whether Said has release scholorship decision for R2?
Also when is the final date for making the payment and confirming the offer ? ( R1 admits can you throw some light on how long they allow).
