For Indian candidates - Any recommended bank/financial institute for loan etc.?

Try Prodigy, SBI, Credila as they are the ones that can fund you the maximum of your tuition. SBI's max limit is 30 Lakhs INR.

Hi guys, the Sauder employment report stated that 77% of students are employed by graduation*

In this specific case, BY GRADUATION, means actually by graduation, 3 months after graduation (as usual in other schools reports) or 6 months after graduation (as stated by some Canadian Business Schools).

Thanks!

If you take a look at FT rankings, you will find that 77% of students were employed within 3 months after graduation.

As per my discussion an alumnus, 3 months after graduation (for upcoming class would be)-

Curriculum ends - December 2017
Graduation - March 2018
After 3 months of graduation - June 2018

So, 77% (if remains same) is the percent of students who would be placed till June 2018!

Thanks,
AK

Just got done with my interview. It didn't go too well. It was worse than my Ivey interview which ended in a reject.

My answers were all over the place..so i don't remember all the questions. She was friendly and casual. We discussed the following:

Going over the resume
Reasons for each career decision i made i.e. job switches, location switches
Why MBA now?
Why UBC?
Short term and long term goals
Do you plan on staying in Canada
What are the challenges you expect to face
What is something you feel you can never do as good as someone else
How will you contribute to the class
What is the biggest challenge you have faced in your career
What is something you expect to gain from UBC
Since we are getting a lot of applications, what is something that makes you stand out from the rest
What did you learn from working in US
Any questions?
and lot of questions specific to my profile

My application timeline for people who are still waiting
Applied : Jan 1st
Interview Invite : March 7th
Interview : March 17th
Also my references were very late, they finished it only by end of Jan.

Said I will know result in 2 to 3 weeks.

Astarico from Kenya here. Got my admission on 5 March 2016 and the conditional offer expires on 25 March 2016.

Do we have any one here who applied for the MasterCard Foundation scholarship?, have they replied?. Is it also possible to seek an extension to the deadline with respect to payment of the deposit?. Would love to hear from you all.

ShephardCommander, did you manage to apply for extension of the deadline?. If so, how did you go about it?.

Congratulations Tony!

Can you please let us know the timeline of your application?

Also, on your scholarship front, most schools share the scholarship details in the offer mail itself.... Rest you can confirm.

Thanks Tony for the details!

I guess, going through some of the previous posts, Sauder doesn't have much of the amount allocated towards Scholarship.

Also, I have observed that their timeline to process an application is quite higher than other schools, I mean they take 2 months to send out an interview invite!

So, where are you planning to go now?

Hehe yeah too long to revert. But either ways for me, i find the course structure at McGill much stronger. So i guess it's going to be McGill.
Good luck with your application.
