Hi guys,
I had applied in round 3 and got invited for an interview next week. It'll be great if someone can share any recent interview experiences and questions. I have been through a few of the earlier posts so if any of you'll have interviewed recently, please do share if possible.
Good luck !

Hi Akshya41,
First of all congratulations for getting an interview call. I would reiterate that now that you have been shortlisted for an interview you should justify your essays and video response as the adcom is looking for reasons to select you not to reject you.
Now, the questions they might ask you could be
1) Tell me about yourself
- Dont try to to tell general stuff. they have already read that in your resume and other parts of application. Try to let them know about the real you about which you could not write in essays. Try to weave it in a chronical form.
2) walk me through your resume
- Don't tell generic stuff again. Try to mention details and accomplishments. stating figures' numbers and your contribution to the projects will be helpful.
3) Why Sauder? why this year?
- Honest response would be highly appreciated. TIP - Don't vomit stuff/Info. which is alraedy available on the school website or on google.
Find something unique. Talk to current students/alums. Do a lot of reserach. I guess 2nd essay for ubC Application had the same question. So, it shouldnt be a difficulty for you.
4) Mention any challenging situation at work?/ Any challenging colleague?/ a situation that you could have handled differently?
- Try to make yourself sound honest, genuine and interesting. No one is interested in listening to a boring story. Make it lively, be energetic and confident.
5) What do you bring to Sauder class?
- Mention your achievemnets and how you will be able to contribute to the classroom learning.
6) Why a low gmat Score? (only if you have less that 650-660)
- Be honest. Don't try to give lame excuses.
Just be confident. Prepare well for the interview. I had prepared my responses and practised them standing in front of the mirror.
Don't be surprised to hear any unexpected questions. I was spontaneous and honest. It worked for me.
All the best!!
Hope to see you in fall 2016..
Regards,
Jivesh
