I've read admissions articles that advise to read the letters to make sure they are good enough before using them. If what you say is true, then this advice is not possible to follow.

If you want to make sure the letter is "good" before submitting it, you should coordinate with your recommender to review them prior to submission. I've never heard of someone reviewing them for quality / content after they have been submitted.

Right. I referred to that information to show that it has been suggested that such information could be obtained from the application itself after the letters have been submitted and before the application itself has been submitted.

So my question remains: How can I obtain this information now? If not until accepted/rejected, how then?

You cannot obtain this information now (from the school). Once you are admitted, you will be able to access this information - I believe by contacting the Admissions office. If you are rejected, you will not have access to your rec letters.

Hm, I've read conflicting advise online. All my app research said that waiving this right is a big no-no since it communicates to the AdCom that you don't trust your recommenders. However, this is just from some cursory Google Fu, so take it while a truck load of of salt. Best of luck, OP.

I'm not sure. When I click the interview link, I don't see any available interview dates. Anybody else know if McCombs does interviews in batches or are they finished?

Anyone knows when McCombs starts releasing admission decisions? For class of 2017 decision deadline was March 26th and R2 acceptance calls started going out on March 12; however, last year they released decisions exactly on the decision deadline (March 29th), so I am wondering what will happen this year. Anyone had a word with adcom/interviewer in this context?

Sorry but chance of getting interview invites at this point is very slim. Last year last R2 invite was reported on forum on March 1st.

Great! Thanks for confirming. Let's wait until March 30th and let's hope DHL carrier doesn't tell you your decision in advance instead of admission team, as happened in this case. :wink:


We would really appreciate if interviewed applicants post their experiences here. We saw quite a few interview reports in R1 but not many in this round. Thanks in advance!
