Hello Sharath, Congrats! Even I have mine on 26th, Mumbai(12:30 slot). I guess NUS is a bit inclined towards case studies. Any prep tips would be helpful?

Hi everyone,

QQ: I already have a score of 710 but I’m planning to retake the GMAT as well. If I submit my application before the retake will my new score not be considered even if I have it sent to the school before the results are out? I’m only waiting to get an answer to this since my application is all set to be submitted otherwise.

IMO you can anytime send an email updating your score. They will consider only your best score. But, adcom can only gell you the exact situation. Please contact them.
Anyways 710 is not bad to get shortlisted. You can still get through. I dont think that spending another 250 bucks would be wise.

I’ve written to the Adcom twice now but no response.
And I’m retaking it for other schools as well not just for this one. But I’m guessing Indian candidates usually have very high scores it might be easier to get shortlisted with a 730-740. Who can help me confirm the score sending later bit? Anyone particularly from the adcom who is more responsive?

Hi,

Can you kindly request you to evaluate my profile and let me know what are my chances of getting into NUS?

I have done my Mechanical Engineering and Masters in Mathematics. I am currently working with an Investment bank and will complete 2 years of full-time experience by June 2018. My GMAT score is 710 and gpa is 3.1/4.0.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

You gmat and Experience is sufficient. But many people think gmat score is the only factor in the application. I’ve seen people with lower scores get into top 10 colleges.
Focus on your essays, CV and pick recommenders who are not only relevant but will also take the time out to write relevant examples and not just one liners.
You can also think about getting your essays cross checked by your friends or a professional.

Best of luck

Hi,. The interview was for 15-20 mins. 1 Alum(2009 batch) and the director of Adcom. Very conversational and friendly.
Questions :
1. Give us a 60 second elevator pitch why we should hire you?
2. Post mba goals and name three companies and 3 cities you would like to work?
3. Which one Asian(non indian) leader has inspired you the most? Gave one political name then they asked me for a business leader
4. What are 2 utmost traits that a leader should possess?
5. Did Steve jobs posses these traits?
I mentioned China as my third preffered city to work. They asked why and asked me to look into the NUS double degree program with Peking university. They also graduated from a double degree prog so were sharing their experiences.
Question : Does one need to apply separately for the double degree prog?

Thanks for sharing your experience!
There was a question in the application form - if you are interested in double degree programs...as long as you answered yes I think they will consider you for the same

Had my interview yesterday. It was very casual and conversational. Below are a few questions -
1. Elevator pitch
2. My short term career goals and the countries I want to work in. I said I'm interested in South Korea and China and they asked me to consider the S3 Asia double degree program.
3. Who's one business leader you'd like to have coffee with
4. What are the traits a leader must possess

Question: If I say I do not want to be considered for the double degree program, would it impact my admission chances?

Don't think so. It just reflects that you are clear on your goals.
Also, all these questions were asked in a span of 15 minutes?
