Yeah they are rolling. The "deadlines" only serve as guidelines to give people a general idea of when to expect a decision.

I was wondering though that in how much time does the adcom get back with a decision on interview from the date of submission. Tired of refreshing the page. I've also written to the adcom though, given they'd be best placed to tell us.

When did you apply? See, you got to be patient, there are literally thousands of applications, and the acceptance rate is not too high. Adcom looks at all aspects of profile and there is literally a 1000 word essay, so altogether it is more time consuming. I would refrain from showing impatience though.

I applied on 6th Jan.

I agree, it'd probably take a lot of time to review each application. I was just wondering if there's a date (like Oxford/LBS have on their website) or some kind of TAT (like HEC has for their programme). Anyway, I was a bit anxious about Rotman, because there are two supplemental items I've not submitted (official university transcripts) which I can submit if and when I am offered admissions. So I've just asked the adcom if my application is complete, and if there's any information required from me, I'd be happy to provide it.

Yea. That's what I've done and Adcom replied that I'm good. So just the waiting game now.

The Financial Times rankings was released today and Rotman has dropped again. They are now ranked #3 in Canada.

https://poetsandquants.com/2020/01/26/2 ... a-ranking/

In the Poets and Quants article and analysis, they quoted "THIS YEAR’S BIG RANKING WINNERS & LOSERS. Since 2015, for example, the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management has seen its rankings collapse by 41 places to 94th from 53rd.". This is the second largest decline of any MBA program in the last five years according to the Poets and Quants chart.

Anybody have any ideas what is going on and why the decline?

Yes, most university's buy GMAT scores with scholarships that help rankings. Rotman's employment report is far more impressive than any other in Canada.
Rotman uses a very unique approach to judging employability with the AWA/IR/Admissions Interview ranking higher in importance than the scaled GMAT score.

I would disagree with your statement "Rotman's employment report is far more impressive than any other in Canada." If you do a comparison of employment reports, their placement rates are lower than Smith and Ivey. I had been in contact with Rotman in November asking for the results from the class that graduated in 2019. They indicated that the report would be available in December and it is still not available on their website. In the Financial Times rankings, they have the lowest placement rate and average salary of any of the Canadian MBA programs ranked. They are also ranked 100 (out of the 100 schools ranked) for Value for Money. The Value for Money is "calculated using salary today, course length, fees and other costs, including not working during MBA.". This certainly does not come across impressive.

Ivey
91%
Of those seeking, received an offer by
September 1, 2019, based on a 95%
reporting rate

Rotman
85%
of Full-Time MBA students seeking employment
were employed within three months of graduation

Quoted from their employment reports as their headline employment stat, wonder why Ivey is not telling us the % employed.

As for Post-MBA Salaries you have to understand that because Ivey and Smith are 1-year programs they attract less international applicants, because your work auth based off a 1 year graduate degree in Canada is only 1 year.
If you graduate from a 2 year graduate program, you get a work auth for 3 years.
Hence, as salaries for Canadian citizens are higher in general, there's a bias in the numbers.
The biggest advantage Rotman has is the proximity to the company HQ's. I know working at a Big 4, we send lower level employees to London and Kingston, whereas our partners tend to attend Toronto based events.

Hi anyone from India get a call for interview?
I had submitted my application on 12th Jan and havent heard from them as yet. Does the adcom inform that the application has been denied once they have gone through the application?
Some people had applied after me and they have got an answer but I still havent.
Sure would be helpful if someone knows how the process works

Has Indian applicant interviewed for round 2?
No word from any Indian applicant as far as interview calls are concerned
Even during R1, the interviews calls were given after 2 months
