I submitted on the day of the Round 1 deadline and got an interview invite a week later. I'm assuming it'll take them longer given the decision deadline for R1 is coming up soon and they are probably swamped...

I don't think there is but it'd be great to get to know each other before the program starts!

why don't you guys consider starting a separate admits' thread to get to know one another and network? I've given below roll call of admits if anyone wants to start a thread. Just copy-paste it in the main post.

Hi. I submitted my application a week before you. The admissions team member that I contacted told me that I can expect decisions only by March 8th 2020, so I guess our applications will be reviewed along with R2. Decision deadline for R1 is the end of this week, so it looks like they're busy wrapping that up and they'll probably be off for the next 2 weeks.

I got the admit from Rotman today with entrance awards. Over the moon to get the news today.

My advice would be to make efforts to get in touch with the admissions committee. I recall reading an article from one of the adcoms where they specifically said that the application process is a lot like dating. You need to make efforts to show your interest and the the strengths of your candidacy for the program. And obviously, know the program more than just the website.

I have an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from India and have been working with a US firm in Oil and Gas consulting projects across the globe for about 7 years. Have travelled a lot as a result of the profile and want to devote my career to sustainability in the energy industry and business practices now that we’ve realised that our current energy modes and business models are not going to meet the energy needs of the future without significantly hurting the environment.
My interview was with Mr. Imran Kanga who I had met twice before the actual interview. Interview was pretty relaxed - walk me through your resume, Why MBA, Why Rotman, goals, achievement, failure, resolving underperforming assets in a team and questions for the adcoms.
The interview got over in like 25 minutes post which there was a radio silence for about 3 weeks until I got the email for the admit. Hope this helps. My gmat was a 710.

Im planning to apply in before March deadline .. im still quite late in my process .. prepping for gmat and filling in applications at the same time... have to start writing essays as well.. Not sure if I should take an admission consultant or not .

If I did manage to fill the applications and essays and get recommendations by Feb with just Gmat pending and hoping to get a decent score of atleast 600+ will it be enough to get by the deadline?

Yup I know im late.. trying to hit deadlines for 2020.. else have to try for 2021.
