Indian male in US - permanent resident
B.S. GPA – 3.6 from a mediocre school in India - Graduated top of the class.
M.S. GPA – 3.75 from a mediocre school in U.S. - top 70
GMAT – 650 (70%le V and 79%le Q)
Work Exp – 7 years in civil engineering.
I have done a lot of consulting to public agencies, municipalities and DOT s on several infrastructure projects.
I have also consulted in the private sector for real estate developers in the area of permitting. Provided expert testimonials in public hearings and have represented my clients in front of citizens (friendly and hostile) and elected officials.
300 % bonus increase in 3 years and 50 % salary increase in 3 years during the boom time between 2004 and 2007
Extra Curricular – Habitat for humanity (active in the last 4 years), formed a theater group at Grad school, raised sponsorship funds at UG School in India and other minor leadership history at work.
Target Career – Would like to remain in consulting. However, would like to expand my horizon into management and strategy.
Problem – Took GMAT 3 times: 590 first time (just wanted to give it a shot), 650 second time (prepared more and improved my score), 620 third time (was trying to prove that I am good in quant and scored 95%le in Q but lost it in V)
I am more keen on getting into Wisconsin. Please provide your opinion. By the way, I bought your book and working through it. I like it so far.
