About me:
-27 years old, white, male
-Currently Work for NASDAQ OMX as a Business Analyst II (Have been here for 2 years). Previously worked 6 months for a Real Estate Investment firm (this was an internship with plans to hire full time until the economy collapsed). Prior to this, worked part time during school, and full time for a year after school at my father's Construction/Development company.
-Undergraduate School: started at University of Wisconsin for a year and a half before I had to return home due to family problems. When I returned home, I took some classes at a local school that allowed part time students, before enrolling full time to the University of Maryland's R.H. Smith School of Business. My overall GPA is a 3.5, and my Smith School of Business GPA is a 3.8
-Recently scored a 660 on the GMAT (Q42V40). This was with little preparation, as I scored well on my two practice tests and thought I would score over a 700. Was very surprised with my math score. I am positive I can get this over a 700, and will apply when this occurs. Based on my recent practice tests, I am scoring around 710-750.
-I grew up with a single mother, who went through deep depression after her divorce and the death of my brother, and helped raise my sister. This played a large role in my transfer to UMD College Park.
-I would like to work with investments, whether it be in the Finance Industry or Real Estate.
-As of current, my school interests are: Columbia, NYU, Wharton.
Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
