Hello Alex,
First of all, thank you for this help you are providing to all of us, please to evaluate my profile:
Gender: Female
Age: 27
Nationality: Algerian
1) Work Experience:
- My current job title is "Senior Field Engineer" whithin the company "Schlumberger", I call myself a 'plumber'

, but I'm a cell leader, I have usually 6 persons of different nationalities as a crew, it has been a little bit more than 3 years that I supervise operations on oil rigs, it is a high responsiblity job since we're manipulating radio-active sources, explosives and high pressure, you never know where you will be or what you will do the second day, it was quite a nice challenge, maybe this is why I liked it
I also spent less than a year as operations research engineer designing a software for a multi-national company(right after graduation).
2) I have already taken the GMAT:600 (Q 48,V 23)
I am preparing to pass it in three months, GMAT expected 680 to 690 (I am working hard on the verbal part)
I am also preparing to pass the Toefl ibt again (got 91/120 last month), working for 109/120.
3) College info:
- I have an engineering in Operational Research (applied mathematics) - we do not use GPA system, but my diploma was rated excellent (18.5/20), the marks I received during my engineering degree were average apart from the final year(reason behind that: I had to take care of my family).
4) Extra-curricular activities:
I don't know if it can count, but I have been the founder and leader of the first female rock band in my country (not an easy job in a muslim country), learned music alone and play 4 instruments.
Fluent in: Arabic, French
Medium in: English but trying to ameliorate it(it is the 3rd language here so I have been studying by myself), and written and spoken Japanese, and I also have good notions in Spanish.
Was part of the Red Crescent (humanitarian service), especially at the period of Algiers earthquake in 2003, blood donor and contributed in fund raising for kids having cancer, since I have a full time job in the middle of the desert, I am now just a donator.
Oh, I am also known to be a fighter, a revolutionist that is not afraid of anything
5) Target programs :
Full time MBA in : Said Business School , HEC Paris and Mc Gill University.
6)Post-MBA goals: career move into finance and economics.and would like to to be a project or operations manager, I am currently studying(alone) Finance, economy and trading, but now that I look at it, I am afraid that my choices might seem a bit inconsistent: having a degree in applied mathematics, software design, then a complete move into the oilfied industry, and now I am moving to finance. I can explain in my essays the reasons behind these choices, but will this career plan play for ,or against me?
I believe that we can ameliorate our scores, but not our profile.
Thank you!!
