Currently residing / nationality: United Kingdom / Greek
Education: Finished European Baccalaureate with high marks; University degree: BSc Accounting and Finance - University of Warwick, result: 2:1
GMAT: Overall: 690; Verbal: 44; Quantitative: 39; AWA: 6.0
Work experience: 1 year HSBC M&A, currently and for the past 1 year working at a mid-sized Private Equity fund. At my current role despite being an Analyst I have advanced responsibility and have direct oversight over some of the assets of the PE
Extra circular: Excellent extra-ciricular at Schools and University. President of student union at school for 2 terms, head of one of largest student run festivals in UK held at my university
Target universities: Harvard Business School, INSEAD, LBS, Wharton and MIT
Post GMAT goals: I would like to return either into a PE function as an associate or go into a consultancy role at one of the major consultancy firms. I am aiming to have a international career so would like to/ will be happy to work around the world
Do you believe my profile is strong enough? Is my GMAT quant/overall GMAT score far too low?

I'm very concerned about your quant GMAT score. Were you scoring higher on practice exams? I'm also mildly concerned about lack of work experience being an issue, particularly at LBS and INSEAD. But the quant score is a surprise given your work and education. Would you consider a retake? Please see:
