Hi,
Please evaluate my profile.
Indianwho is currently 24yr.
GRE : 323 . Quant 165, verbal 158
GPA: around 3.4 (Information technology)
Converted the GPA myself as my school uses a different grading system.
Work experience:
2.5 years in an software industry where I have to work on different platformas and with different clients.
Had done around 6 projects
Notable:
Contributed to Outreach as a part of cognizant where we adopted a govt school and taught basic computer and english to kids as they dont have English in their curriculum
Member and organizer at Humane animal society whichpromotes adoption of pets rather than shopping for pets where we conducted monthly adoption camps and provided homes to homeless pets
Teacher and volunteer at Make A Difference(MAD) which is a famous NGO in INDIA which teaches underprivilaged kids.
1) Do I need to take my GMAT or can I apply with my GRE score.
2) With my stats, what schools do you recommend if i want to enter the finance sector?
3) What are my chances of an MBA in top 15 to 30 MBA colleges in USA
4) Any chances for my application to Wharton, CMU , texas austin NYU

Hello,
I believe I addressed an earlier post by you.
1) Most schools now accept the GRE as well as GMAT – you still have to check each school, but the GRE will be accepted by most. However, the adcoms are truly more familiar with and have more confidence in the GMAT, so it will still benefit your applicant to take the GMAT unless you absolutely do poorly on that test – I’ve heard this directly from various adcom members. If you have time to prepare and score well on the GMAT, that’s ideal, I believe.
2) I believe I answered this in the previous post.
3) Top-15 is not too likely, in my opinion. I suggest targeting top-20 to top-25 or top-30.
4) I’d consider CMU and Texas to be high reaches but perhaps not out of reach, whereas Wharton and NYU would be a very, very long stretch, probably unrealistic.
By the way, I admire and commend your strong and interesting community service.
