Hi Paul,

Thanks for the feedback. I certainly hope to improve my GMAT above 700. I think I think I have some interesting leadership roles that will make me stand out, but it's daunting considering the large applicant pool at Harvard. I hope to capitalize on my political experience since I've been involved in politics most of my life.

Any other recommendations on schools that have political campuses? I would consider Georgetown, but I haven't been very impressed with their business school.

Thanks!

How about Yale or Stanford? Both are highly regarded as social impact schools that attract the kinds of people who go on to careers that, if not directly in politics, are often public policy related. At Yale, you could also take classes in its Law School, which is a big government career feeder school. Have you looked at Columbia or NYU? Sine they are based in NYC, they may be good schools for someone trying to build a national platform given New York's media and business importance.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your response. Stanford and Columbia are both on my list. I know that Stanford has a pretty great Public Management department. I'm curious how the new organization of the business school will affect the current strengths of the school. I also noticed that Wharton has a Business and Public Policy major that sounds very appealing, so I've added it to my list.
As for Yale, while I loved my time in New Haven and at Yale, I think I would prefer to experience another University. Although, I know that one strength of SOM is the non-profit focus, which is very alluring. I recommend Yale to everyone - the business school has improved dramatically over the past decade and an MBA from Yale is really an investment in the future.

Thanks again for all of your advice and for taking the time to field all of the questions on this forum.
