US Permanent Resident.
GMAT Score 680(89%) : M 50(95%), V 34(68%), AWA 4.5
1 st attempt : 550, M 48, V 17
BS Computer Science from University of Delhi, India.
GPA : 3.5
8 years of solid experience as a computer professional.
worked as a product development engineer, as a consultant and as a software architect over the past years. Currently working as Sr Software Eng at a Bio Tech Start up. Earlier worked as a Consultant at a Fortune 10 Telecom company and as a product development software engineer in India. Lead a team of seven software engs.
My Short term career objectives include gaining new management skills,
enhancing my existing abilities.
Long Term goals : Interested in starting my own firm.
What are my chances at:
1) Berkeley Haas - PartTime
2) UCLA - FullyEmployed
3) Chicago GSB - Evening/Weekend
4) Kellogg - PartTime
5) NYU Stern - Partime
6) Stanford - Fulltime (long shot)
Primarily interested in top schools(part-time) in california. But might consider other top 15 schools also. Will my first gmat score hurt my chances at above mentioned schools.

I remember posting a reply to your post, but it doesn't seem to have survived, so I'm answering again - belatedly. Your first GMAT score will *not* hurt your chances at these schools. Do not worry about that -- it's a non-issue. They will be impressed by your GMAT score jump, and especially given your high GPA will assume your second score is the true indication of your abilities.
The order in which you listed your target schools is the rough order of my estimation of your chances -- from highest to lowest. One or two of schools 1 - 5 will likely come through for you IF you focus all your energies on writing essays that show why you are not a "typical" Male Indian IT. Work really hard at accentuating uniqueness, let them see your personal life, not just work, open up to them in the essays. Don't play it safe with the essays or give them some vague, canned message.
