Hello experts,
Here is my situation.
I am full-time working professional in IT Industry. I have close to 11 Yrs of exp out of which I've been in a lead position for last 6-7 Yrs. I completed my Bachelors degree in Comp Sci (3 Yrs) from Pune University in India. My total percentage was 63% in the final exam. Even though my total education is 15 Yrs, my coursework in the Bachelors degree combined with a 6 mo Diploma course is equivalent to 16 Yrs of education in USA. I had my degree evaluated from The Trustforte Corp. I used their evaluation for filing my H1B VISA as well as my green card without any problem/questions.
I'd like to apply for part time MBA (FEMBA) at UCLA - Anderson. My choice is limited to part time MBA course in LA area as I would like to continue my full-time job while doing my MBA (Need to make that monthly mortgage payment!!). I can get reference letters from my current/ex clients/managers without any problem when submitting my application. I just started preparing for my GMAT exam. I'm targeting a score of 650+ in GMAT.
I've been involved with other activities in the community as well. We have a user forum where we bring-in leading speakers from our industry for seminars. I'm the vice-president of that user group. I also wrote couple of technical articles in the journals.
Please let me know if you need additional information in order to evaluate my profile. Any idea what are my chances to get into FEMBA program at UCLA? I appreciate your time and thank you in advance!

You may also look at USC if you are restricted to the L.A. area. Both schools are somewhat similarly-ranked, but I really can not tell you their specialties or pros/cons of each.

I'm not sure I know enough about your current responsibility level to say whether I think it will impress UCLA sufficiently. However, I didn't see any red flags in what you gave me. I do think you should aim for a higher GMAT to be on the safe side given that your Indian-male-IT profile is a common one. I also would encourage you to look at USC's program because I believe it would be easier to get into.
