Hi there,

Thanks for sharing your background - very compelling! You would be a competitive candidate at all of the top schools. As you think about your career goals, try to be more specific with respect to the industry. In addition to the schools mentioned already, I would also suggest considering Columbia. If I can help out in any other way, feel free to reach out!

Best,
Shaifali

GMAT
GMAT: 740

Work Experience
3.5 years of total WE at matriculation
3.5 years of WE at Oracle Corporation, working as a high-tech enterprise software sales rep
Have a promotion. My first 1.5 years, I was a "Business Development Consultant" focusing on opportunities. Then I got promoted to "Enterprise Account Executive" with a closing role
Always exceeded quarterly quotas as a BDC. As an Account Exec, I am in the top 30% of my salesforce, closing over $1,000,000 over two years
I've received various "Oracle Excellence Awards" for closing business and boosting pipeline
I've had leadership roles. I was appointed to be a "Senior BDC" where I mentored new hires and ramped them up. I run a professional book club at work. I am the President of my hub's Toastmasters. I organize company-sponsored food drives for low income veterans in the SF Bay Area.

Extracurricular Activities
Have worked on political campaigns, like been the "field director" of a city councilman during his election. my focus was on municipal broadband and Clean Energy
Have a leadership position on a micro-finance nonprofit helping low-income entrepreneurs in Oakland
play electric guitar in a classic rock cover band
MBA Goals

I want to go into general management at a f500 company. Specifically, I'm looking at rotational/leadership development programs (but not finance), and marketing analytics. Also considering brand management.

What do you think? Thanks so much!!

I'm still not sure at what exact MBA schools to target, or how many. Vaguely, I'm aiming for the M7 and t15. Do you have any specific suggestions?

Thanks!

Really impressive profile, like the others already said so I think this is more a matter of what you want and what you think is important in a school, rather than where you can get in. Assuming your essays and recommendations are solid, I feel your chances of admission are pretty good in all the schools, so you really need to start picking and choosing based on your own preferences. But this list with the latest rankings where specializations, including general management are listed could be a good starting point: https://aringo.com/top-mba-program-rankings/

Hello there and good to hear from you dude!
You have tons of great stuff in your profile. First of all you hit all the important bases:
- Great GMAT
- Great GPA
-Great School
- Big name employers

But lots of people have that, more importantly, you have a history of success and leadership in your work, you have a fantastic story of overcoming a disability, and you have political volunteer work. All that stuff is top notch.

You are solidly top10 (or M&, if you prefer :) ) and I don't think you need to apply much lower than that. Within the top 10, honestly all the schools are excellent for whatever goals you have, and so normally you would aim for the best ranked schools that also fit you personally and professionally. To know more about that, I wold need to know more about your choice - whether you prefer a larger or smaller program, rural or urban, East coast or West, more collaborative or competitive... etc etc etc.

You have a great profile dude! Just make an amazing story and I am sure you will make it far!
