Hi abhishekg431,

You can shortlist schools, considering your post-MBA career goals, average GMAT score, geography you intend to work in etc. Your GMAT score is on the lower side and, although its’ not the only factor, it can limit your chances at good schools. I would say retake the test, and get at least 720-730. You’ll have more options at that score. Also, you need to keep in mind that European schools weigh international experience favorably.

Retake, my friend. And give it time too. 2 years isn't really enough experience, especially coming from IT.

Best,
Jon

As an Indian applicant from IT with a GMAT score like that you cannot be looking at top programs unfortunately. So my questions are basically the following:
1. Are you open to trying to improve your profile at all? By retaking the GMAT, waiting a bit with applying etc?
2. What is the reason you feel you need an MBA/MiF? Meaning what is your goal after the degree?

Knowing a bit more about that will make it easier for me to give you some recommendations but the best option would really be for you to contact us with more details and information using this: https://aringo.com/mba-admission-chances-calculator/ as the ARINGO team would then be able to give you a much more thorough evaluation.

Good luck!

JL

It depends on the collages you are targeting
If you are planning to apply for top collages, then you need to retake the GMAT

Hi I have improved my GMAT score. I am aiming for MBA admissions in Fall 2018 (by then, i will have a work experience of 3 years). So, with my earlier profile and this updated score, does my profile improve? If there is an improvement, what are my chances at various B-Schools?. I am considering the following B-Schools (Oxford, Mannheim, Rotterdam, Imperial, Warwick, Nanyang, HEC Montreal, Edhec). Do tell me the pros and cons of these selections as well. If you have suggestions for some other schools too, please let me know. Thanks for your time.

Profile update:
GMAT 2: 700 (Q48, V38, IR7)
GMAT 1: 650 (Q50, V29, IR6, AWA4.5)

Degree: B.Tech, Chem. Engg
College: Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (2015)
CGPA: 6.7
XII : 91.2%
X : 90.8%
School and college level scholar.
Highly involved in Community Welfare and social Service. (4+ years of part time experience)
Work Exp (till now): 2.5 years : Quality Assurance {Misys India (2 years) + Quicklogic (0.5+ years)}
English Test : Not given yet. (Undergrad in English)
Short Term Goal: Join a Finance or FinTech firm on a managerial role.
Long Term Goal: Drive the business decisions for one of the major Finance Companies
