GPA:8.81 in engineering from an Indian university(not really a known one outside my state),top 10 of my class
GMAT:720(q49 v40)(bad day, was unwell, my practice test scores were above 750)
WE: 1 year right now at India's biggest IT consultancy firm. Good ratings.
Extra-curriculars:Honestly, nothing much.
I was class representative at college, organized programs during college and school, excelled in my company's initial training program, some charity work as a part of the charity organization of our company.
short term goal:earn experience and international exposure in financial consulting
long term goal: start my own company, and a personal goal of reviving some of the cottage industries of my home state(a very backward state in India)

My questions:
do I need to retake the GMAT?
what should I do to better my profile?
should I apply next year or this year(I was originally planning to apply next year but decided to try out some this year to gain a better perspective)
It would be really helpful if some insight was provided. I would also like to know some other colleges that I can look to?
