I basically have 2yr of full time experience (very fragmented I know because of layoffs/downsizing etc). I can get great references however. My career goal is to work in private equity for a few years. I do not have the official pre mba experience yet. I am aiming for Top 20 B schools. High Reaches (harvard, standford, mit, penn, chicago, berkelley, insead, lbs). Low Reaches (yale, dartmouth, ucla, ut austin, usc, emor, unc). I feel like my applicant status is mediocre and was hoping to understand what I can potentially do to improve my status. I currently have no full time job due to the crappy market and am really worried about the near term. Thank you for your help.
