Hi Linda,
Please help me out, I've been struggling with what I should do...
GMAT#1: Q45 V35 - 650 Essay: 6.0
GMAT#2: Q50 V31 - 680 Essay: 6.0
GPA: 3.73 in a Top 50 School - Business Honors Program (Finance)
Work Experience: 4 Years at a top software company (Marketing Manager)
Interested in: Harvard, Stanford, MIT, Penn, Northwestern
I know the schools I listed are top tier and their 80% range fall 680 - 750 but I'd be happy if I got into at least one of these schools. Sure, a score over 700 is preferred, but is it a must to have a chance? Also, I don't know if its good to take the GMATs 3 times. I do think I can get over 700 but, I would rather concentrate on my application, if my high GPA or Essays make up my weak Verbal Score.
Please advise,
Conflicted...
I read your posts. You are borderline in terms of retaking. I can really argue it either way. But I don't think you would like it if I left it at that.
so I will make a recommendation.
Don't retake. Use the time until fall to research schools, beef up your extra-curriculars, and work on essays. Then if you are rejected, you can beef up that GMAT.
Good luck!
