Hi, please help to evaluate my chance to get accepted into my target schools!

Targeted program: Master in accounting - apply for fall 2017
Targeted schools: Jindal school of management (UT Dallas), Bauer college of business (UH), Baylor university!

My profile: (female - 26 years old)
Undergrad: major in finance - gpa: 7.8/10
WE: 3 years in non-profit government sector as project assistant in energy project (not relevant to my applying major)
1,5 years as accountant for my dad's business
GMAT: 660 (Q:48, V:34, IR:7, AWA:5)

Iam struggling with the essay because it is quite hard to justify why i i want to come back to accounting/finance field after working in non profit sector. (my intention is to move to finance department of non-profit/international organization after graduation), and should i retake my gmat to increase my chance?I think that how you describe it here sounds reasonable and that you should be able to do that. I think certainly your odds of presenting as a stronger candidate go up with a higher GMAT but you look like you might be pretty competitive even now with the scores you have.

Regards,

Regards,

Retaking the GMAT is never a bad idea if you want to maximize your chances of admission but I don’t see it as a must in your case. Instead, it will come down to your application and essays so make those a priority, even if you are struggling a bit. Many have been in that exact situation in the past and overcome that challenge so you can too! Feel free to be in touch if you are considering getting professional assistance with that part of course.

Good luck!
