looking for a school with marketting strength
lookin for final placement in consulting
lookin fo rgood ROI 
Credential 
Work ex - working for Accenture IDC since june 2005
 part time as a faculty for verbal and quants for GMAT prep
extraco - associated with a NGO in bangalore
cgpa - 2.7 
gmat - 720 ( verbal 39 quants 49)
please advise schools ???

Gaurava,

I triangulated your three core criteria -- marketing strength, ROI, and strong consulting placements -- to come up with the following list:

1. Kellogg
2. Wharton
3. HBS
4. Tuck
5. Chicago
6. Stanford
7. CBS
8. MIT

If you add international schools, then INSEAD, IESE, and Queen's would be high on this list because they all place a higher percentage of MBAs in consulting than every U.S. school but Kellogg.

if i do my essays and profile well do i stand a chance in these schools with my gmat score and Cgpa as u see my work ex too is gonna be just 2 yrs wen i join 
one more advise i have been working as a faculty for verbal and quants in one of the leading GMAT prep Classes in my country should i mention it in my essays and should i take a LOR from The institute's director

I assume that your 2.7 GPA is better than it would be in the U.S., i.e., that your class rank was quite good. If so, that and your GMAT score make you competitive at many of the schools I listed. However, having only two years of work experience places you outside the middle 80% of most if not all of these schools. Unless you have shown truly remarkable impact and leadership in those two years then your odds of admission are diminished. You actually didn't give me enough info to provide a meaningful critique of your chances but based on your age and what you have told me (i.e., that your biggest extracurricular may be the GMAT work) I would guess your chances at all these schools is fairly small. You might have a shot at Chicago, but I would encourage you to aim lower, with maybe a couple of these schools as longshots or perhaps to wait a year and come back with powerful leadership and impact stories from work and community.

You should mention the GMAT work in your application and resume but I don't think it's good material for an essay or for a reco letter.

Obviously the GPA is a significant weakness, and it will make it tough to be a contender at more competitive programs, given your  over-represented demographic . One school you might consider is UNC’s Kenan-Flagler; another is U-Texas at Austin – McCombs.
