I am unable to understand the difference between the "Weaken the argument" and "Find the flaw" question type. It would help me if someone can answer this question.

Hi Revankumar,
In a 'Weaken' CR, one of the 5 answer choices will provide additional information that will make the Author's conclusion less likely. In a 'Flaw' CR, the original prompt includes something that is already flawed (such as confusing correlation for caution or relying on percent-based data when number-based data (or vice versa) is the relevant issue) - and the correct answer will explain that flaw.
Before I can offer you any additional advice for CR (or your overall studies), it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

'Weaken' : make the Author's conclusion less believable
'Flaw : the original argument includes something that is already not logical or flawed (such as illogical correlation ,Internal Contradiction , Exceptional Case/Overgeneralization
and Errors in Assessing the Force of Evidence
) .
e.g.
“Everyone should join our country club. After all, it’s an exclusive group that links many of the
influential members of the community.”
The self-contradiction/internal contradiction occurs when the speaker says “Everyone should join” and then follows that by
saying that it is “an exclusive group.” Exclusive, by definition, means that some people are excluded.
The following show how this error of reasoning can be described in the answer choices:
“bases a conclusion on claims that are inconsistent with each other”
“introduces information that actually contradicts the conclusion”
So it is a flaw .
