Notmykind,
Your age is a major hurdle for you. Have you considered an executive MBA? Given your age and the mild general bias against sales backgrounds among B-schools, I think your Second Preferences are more doable. Of your First Pref schools, Michigan and Yale might be most doable--Michigan seems to like atypical applicants, which your profile seems to be. Tuck is more open to older applicants, but frankly they don't admit as many Asians as other schools!
If you want to aim high (First Pref) you could consider part-time programs where the odds are better. Indiana, Purdue, Babson, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Rochester, and Vanderbilt are all friendlier to older applicants -- as are Canadian and European schools as a rule. Naturally, you will want to show great maturity, focus, and due diligence in your goals essay, and emphasize leadership rather than sales results. The Buddhist story sounds like good material for a personal/diversity type essay -- and perhaps also as explanation for your age. See Accepted's
advice for older applicants.
