This is how the figure looks like

AB = 18
BC = (1/3)*18 = 6
BD = (1/2)*6 = 3
DE = (1/2)*3 = 1.5

Answer: Option A

BC = 6 miles
BD = DC = 3

BE = ED = 1.5
