Thanks for posting these tests!

How do these tests compare to the MGMAT tests and/or the free GMAT Prep tests?

Also, are these tests from a test prep book or merely a conglomerate of problems? I'm just trying to figure out whether I should use these to gauge my progress or to merely use as additional practice problems.

Yes you are right, these are not the tests to gauge your progress, You must finish the official questions and addition well know test prep questions mgmat,veritas,kaplan etc before doing this.

The first six tests are actual GMAT tests from years ago, I am guessing about 30 years ago. They are based on the old paper test format. I do like the questions in the first six tests, they do reflect the style of the GMAT. The questions are on the easier said and is partly due to the fact that the time per question is less than the current average of two minutes. I find these questions to be useful for students who are struggling with the basic concepts in a particular area. They are also great for getting used to the GMAT language and style.
