The difference between G and F is 2 times 3 raised to 11. You can keep subtracting this value to get the values to the left of F.

I really don’t understand these people, I am the part of these ims group for GMAT and I don’t understand why they are being so pushy towards too take students to take exam within 6,8 month some students take time hit there peak level all of em doesn’t have the same level of understanding or strength but what I have experience by myself is they will literally till you too gave up if your score is not seem to improve.... Or your stangent as mentor they don’t push up they pull you down. What i think is everything is achievable it take time.

Request if the solution can be shared
The question link is
on-the-number-line-shown-the-tick-marks-are-equally-spaced-and-the-416629.html#p3248802

Adding my solution below

The points are equally spaced hence we can find the difference between two points F and G as
3^12 - 3^11 = 2 * 3^11

Now since we have the difference between two points, we need to find the point that depicts - 3^12

Let’s subtract 2 * 3^11 from 3^11 (Point F)
3^11 - 2 * 3^11 = - 3^11
- 3^11 is point E

Subtracting 2 * 3^11 from E we get
- 3^11 - 2 * 3^11 = -3^12
-3^12 is point D

This is exactly what the question asks, so IMO the answer should be D

In Nation X, the average price of a new automobile is 15,000 to 20,000 US dollars, and the average automobile loses approximately ten percent of its market resale value each year. Therefore, if a two-year-old automobile is resold for only 10,000 US dollars, its loss in market resale value has been greater than average for Nation X.

Which of the following indicates a flaw in the reasoning above?

A. Market resale value is only one measure of an automobile’s value.

B. Some two-year-old automobiles in Nation X have market resale values in excess of 20,000 US dollars.

C. It is possible for a new automobile in Nation X to cost 30,000 US dollars.

D. A loss in market resale value beyond what is ordinarily expected does not necessarily indicate poor design.

E. Not all new automobiles are sold for a price within the average range

Until recently, employees in Company X had to work 9 hours a day but could start their work day whenever they chose to. The CEO of Company X has recently announced that all employees should come to work at 9 AM and leave at 6 PM. However, the human resources manager, who disagrees with the CEO on this matter, predicts that this lack of flexibility will have an adverse effect on employees' morale, and, consequently, employees' productivity.

Which of the following, if true, most strengthens the human resources manager's objection to the CEO’s decision?

A. Even before the CEO's announcement, 75% of the employees worked from 9:00 to 18:00.

B. When all employees work the same hours, scheduling meetings is easier.

C. 65% of the company's employees are women.

D. Company X's employees consistently point the ability to start working at the hour they choose as the number one advantage of working for Company X.

E. The CEO is a high-ranking former military.

@bunel..pls help with the below DS question

In how many ways can 5 students be selected for an exchange program from a class of n students?

(1) If 6 students were to be selected, the total number of selections would be 210.
(2) If the class had 2 more students, the total number of ways of selecting 5 students from the class would be 792.

Statement (1): If 6 students were to be selected, the total number of selections would be 210
This gives:

C(n, 6) = 210

We can solve for n by checking values:

C(9, 6) = 84
C(10, 6) = 210
So n = 10, and therefore:

C(10, 5) = 252

Statement (1) alone is sufficient

Statement (2): If the class had 2 more students, the total number of ways of selecting 5 students would be 792
This gives:

C(n + 2, 5) = 792

Try values:

C(11, 5) = 462
C(12, 5) = 792
So n + 2 = 12 >> n = 10

Statement (2) alone is sufficient

I initially faced similar problem.. I was not confident of the values i was plugging... to deal with this, I started solving algebraically.. once I did that, automatically assuming values became easier and clearer. However I still prefer algebraically...

Solving it without plugging the values would be a much longer process, honestly, my way of doing it was, I tried to write the statements down in algebraic way and once I saw the equation, it was clear that it could be solved. Hence, there was no actual need to get to the final answer, to select option D in this one.
