Need help with quant, i am constantly struggling to even begin to solve at least more than half of hard/very hard questions.
To give you some background, i was always good at maths in school. But GMAT quant to me seems to be from other world. I just freeze at hard questions and most of the times i don’t even know where to begin, if i do come up with ideas they don’t go anywhere or take too much time. I have attempted 3-4 hundred questions. So it’s not like i didn’t try enough. I have seen the advice - "analyse your mistakes"
Thing is that while i can learn from errors, which i have. I don’t see a way out when i can’t even begin. I know all the basic concepts, i bought the GMAT premium from
magoosh, but honestly it didn’t offer strategies to solve questions. It felt like surface level lecture to me. What is worse is that many people genuinely use that to score 700+, so i wonder what’s wrong with me. I looked up more videos on yt after self-learning and practicising more for months with failure.
Yes i have reviewed all the 100s of questions i couldn’t solve and looked up their solution but it’s like every hard question is unique and what i learn from one question doesn’t help me at all when i attempt the next one most of the times. So clearly solving more questions or analyzing isn’t the problem. Again my basics are all covered up. This is been taking a toll on me mentally. I would appreciate any advice please.
