If n is an integer, is (n-1)(n+1) a multiple of 24?
1) n is odd.
2) n is not divisible by 3.

Sneaky. If n is an integer, is (n-1)(n+1) a multiple of 24?
1) n is odd.
2) n is not divisible by 3.

1) n is odd.
If n is 3, then (2)(4)=8 not m24. If n is 5, then (6)(4) is m24. not sf.
2) n is not m3. Clearly insuff.
3) We remove the first case. of n=3. If we test some more values (n=5, n=7, n=11) etc. Are all m24. I’ll go on a limb and say C.
