(2) Milk flows into the vat at a rate of 5 gallons every 5 minutes and out of the vat at a rate of 5 gallons per minute. ___________________________ DS 2 Jennifer is upset because she confused the two close readings that she took for the period of a simple pendulum. She needs to find the average of the two readings. What is the exact average of the two readings? (1) She knows that the second reading is one of the numbers 3.02 and 3.2. (2) She knows that the greater reading is one of the numbers 3.01 and 3.11.
