Letters of recommendation often present challenges when someone is an entrepreneur. You can't really use anyone at work, since even the most senior person would still be a subordinate in theory and also perceived as biased. Often I will recommend clients seek out a recommender from the ranks of vendors they use in their business. For example, you might have impressed your fuel supplier, and as a bonus, these fuel suppliers are usually a major Fortune 500 company such as Shell Oil or Exxon, etc. Not sure if that's the case in your situation. Of course it would be ideal if the person writing your reco is familiar with MBAs, which could also present challenges, particularly with certain vendors. Outside of vendor relationships, you might look to the company which built the location for you (unless you bought it from someone else). Basically, any customer or entity with whom you have done business and can vouch for your integrity and leadership potential would work. Not sure if that sparks any ideas for you.
