The key to convincing adcoms that you need the MBA is to make a strong and passionate case for how your past connects to your future vision. The MBA is a unique degree, and if your goal is corporate strategy or consulting, it will be easy for them to see how you can leverage the MBA education to get there. The connection will also be easy for them to make for why you are getting the predictive analytics degree. Perhaps you could make the argument that you realized during your current MS degree pursuit that while you were getting very useful skills built, they are very specific and it dawned upon you that you still need the breadth of an MBA degree to do consulting and strategy work. I think they will forgive the first degree, especially if you ran out and got it immediately after undergrad. At the very least you will convince them that you are smart and well educated--two qualitites that are valuable for grad school of any flavour. The fact you have real management experience and international exposure (not to mention accolades/promotions at a Fortune 100 company) should be plenty enough to check the box. As you point out, your other qualifications should make you a strong candidate and I really don't think the extra education will hurt you so long as you can articulate that you bring something useful to the table (from both your education and your WE). I will caution you that HBS will want those extra degrees to be from really good schools. If they were from lower ranked state schools, you may risk not impressing them and appearing like you ran and hid in school. THe ivys like higher ed on the resume, but it needs to be pedigree. You will not face as much scrutiny on this from other top schools like Chicago, Stanford, MIT, or Duke. Hope this helps.
