Hey All,
I posted my profile this week to Paul Bodine, but I wanted to solicit feedback from ya'll as well. Any insight would be appreciated
I am looking to apply to B-school in the fall of 2009
Nationality: American Caucasion
Age: 23
Education: Bachelors in Business, Ivy League, 2007; 3.6 GPA
GMAT: 770, 6.0
Work Experience: 2.5 years at application in Management Consulting at firm ranked 10-20 on Vault. Received top performance review in 2008. Hoping to add leadership experience in 2009—this will be leadership of 1-2 people. Hopefully will be promoted in December 2009.
Extra Curriculars:
1. Vice President of Fraternity alumni association, serve on the board of trustees (the alumni association is incorporated, as we own properties around the university). 500+ members, make decisions on renovations, budgets, etc.
2. Founded a startup business around student-abroad activity; the business failed, but I learned some good lessons.
3. Big Brothers Big Sisters Volunteer
Goals
Continue in Management Consulting after MBA, so I can accelerate my career. I want to apply in 2009 because it is a natural break in my career, after the 3 year analyst program; long run, I want to found my own Management Consulting firm
Can you please provide me feedback on my chances at
1. HBS
2. Stanford
3. Wharton
4. Chicago
5. Columbia (ED?)
6. NYU
Do you think I should add other schools? What areas of my profile do you think I could supplement, with a year until application?
