Happy to help! If he wants to go into consulting any top school will position him well to do that. The big consulting firms recruit at all of the top schools --ideally he'll want to get into a top 10 school if he wants to work at an MBB but he'll have a shot at it even if he goes to a school in the low teens. (We typically use US News & World Report rankings). Unless he's working in a military-related firm, it's going to be difficult to get a strategy job straight out of b-school --those are harder to come by than consulting jobs & typically require some strategy experience. But if he works in consulting in the ST he'll be well positioned for a VP of strategy role in house somewhere in the LT.

If he decides to go the operations route, some good options would be Ross, Tepper (he has a shot at funding there), MIT (going to be a bit more of a stretch with a 700), Stanford (again a stretch with a 700), Kellogg, Columbia and Wharton (stretch).

Hope that helps!

Manny thanks Admissionado. I'll pass along the info. Of course, I'd like for him to join me at CBS - but I don't know that big city life is for him :)

-Thanks!

LOL - it's true NYC is either a love it or hate it kind of place! But even if you're not a city person, it's hard to beat CBS - it's an awesome school. Just let us know if there's anything else we can do to help!
