Hi I'm a 25 year old white male from NYC. I'm a CPA who did roughly 2 years Big 4 auditing and has spent the last two years in financial services/insurance broking internal audit for a fortune 200 company. I travel extensively for my company, performing audits in multiple foreign countries.
I scored 720 GMAT (Q47 V41 IR 8)on my first attempt last week. I am considering retaking as I feel I can hit 750. My main motivation in scoring higher is the hope that it will land me a large scholarship at a top 20 mba program. Is this likely?
My extra curriculars are a bit weak. I play rec sports and was in a leadership role in a fraternity in college.
I attended seton hall university on a full scholarship (SAT 99th percentile) for undergrad. (3.4 GPA, accounting degree)
My target schools are pretty much anything top 20 that would give me a large scholarship. Duke seems to give out a decent amount.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
