Volunteer Experience- 3 years - Junior Achievement - A non-profit organization dedicated to providing and education high school students of entrepreneurship. I advise a team of high school students each week on building a business. Actually creating one from start to finish. Including creating a product/service and selling that product/service.
Goals1. Booth, Wharton, NYU, Columbia
2. Investment banking
Questions1. Are my goals realistic, both in terms of school and work.
2. Where do I lack in my application? Do I need to be more involved within my company?
3. GPA - I would like to discuss the GPA issue on my essay portion. The reason for the low GPA is due to being complacent during last 2 years of school (I secured this job very early). But now I have my **** together.
4. I have a very 'asian' name - Xin (sounds like Shin), I was thinking of changing this to 'Shane' for the application, and for my future (career choice). Would this increase my chances of getting in?
5. Other thoughts/advice?
Thank you,
Xin (Shane)
