caffeineoverload
Hi Experts,
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. I have experience of 3 years in Cisco as a software engineer. I am currently a director in a cab aggregation startup that had to suspend operations after 6 months of a successful run - we built a platform with 50000 drivers and 650000 riders in one city in a span of 4 months and what started with a capital of 30,000,000 was valued over 150 crores by February 2020. I believe an MBA would better prepare me for my future businesses because I have no plans to let a COVID-led roadblock stop me. My first step - GMAT was relatively successful with only 45 days of preparation - I scored a 750. I want to apply to Harvard and would like to know your expert opinion on my chances of acceptance.
Best Regards!
Hey caffeineoverload,
On the surface, your profile looks fantastic - 750 GMAT, brand-name like Cisco on the resume, entrepreneurship experience. I think with the right type of essays and positioning you'd certainly have a shot at some of the top schools. That being said, H/S/W is always a bit of a black box, so it's often difficult to pinpoint exact chances, since sometimes wonderful applicants get denied while weaker ones get accepted.
Coming from India, your GMAT is about in line with what you'd need to get into an M7. It's really going to come down to your story and piecing it all together. What was your GPA and where did you attend college?
Regards,
